Idk, the axel just won't pull out. even tried getting a lever in the little gap inbetween the axel and gearcase and still nothing. don't know what to do???

If it is the outer boot then you don't need to remove the axle. All you have to do is take the boot off, once you take the boot off give the cv a pull and the cv will slide right off the axle. This is very easy. The cv will pull right off with no problem. Leave the axle in the machine PLEASE! Clean up the cv with some kind of parts cleaner and try to get out all of the grease. Repack with new grease, slide boot on to axle then pop the cv back on the axle and replace the boot on cv, let air out of boot before you install the new clamp.

I dont know about it just pulling off. I had to hammer mine off. Not real hard , just firm hits. He didnt want to hammer on his. The only other thing i can suggest to him is to use one of those funnel things that slides the boot up over the joint.

YA it does pull off but did you guys forget to tell him something? How about the retaining ring?
