Default 2007 Polaris no power

I just bought a used polaris 500 ho with 170 miles. I mean it looks brand new. Not knowing much about the polaris it seemed to operate ok when I bought it. After further reveiw it appears to have a lack of power. I can only get 50 mph out of it, down hill. It seems to get to 50mph and no faster. When it is in park and I give it full throttle and hold it on its dosn't seem to rev very high and cuts out at 6900 rpm. Do I have a problem or is this all she has? Spark plug, air filter look good. I have herd these 500's should do 60mph no problem. Maybe I'm expecting too much.
Thanks,
Mark

COULD BE ECM,but dont think your model on list,i'm kinda brain dead right now,YEARS sometimes run together for me,BUT have had em bad not even on list!! Some would even lose spark,,partial failure fan or charging.Just one THING CAN THINK OF . ALSO can be simple belt stretch. MORE members will chime in I'm sure. Good luck

w/ that many miles unless the belt got burnt it shouldnt be that but if the engine moved could be out of alignment. not sure what it should be turning for top rmps, but im guessing if you had it wot sitting there it should be hitting the rev limiter. some 500's (older ones) went 60 but i think the newer ones are a little slower.
