2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO
Our local ATV dealer is having a sale tomorrow and we can get a 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO with winch and a snowplow for $5999.
What do you guys think? Originally, the salesman said that setup is $6999 but I don't know if he just said that to make it sound like a great deal because that seems a little bit high.
I was wondering what you guys think of 'em. Anyone have one?

2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO
Before I bought my 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO, which was on Aug 16, 2008, I did LOTS of online shopping. My local Polaris dealer had them priced at $5600.00 + tax (extended warrant extra), and included no accessories, no winch, no bag...nothing... ATV only.
Online I found a dealer in Nashville, TN (which is only 1 1/2 hr drive away), and they had them priced at $4862.00 + tax. I requested my local dealer to match that price and they refused. The best offer they would give me was $5200 if I bought the 2-yr ext. warrant, or $5100 if I bought the 4-yr extended warranty.
Outside the store, I had my 2002 Ford Explorer with a full tank of gas, hooked to it was a 14 foot utility trailer, and I had the day off. I was set to go. I pointed that out to the salesman, and told him I was ready to go. That's when he said that I'd be out gas money going to Nashville, so he thought the $5100 offer was such a great deal (and actually it was, but I'm a wheeler and dealer!!!). So, as I said that I'd go on down the road, and just before I walked out the front door, he offered to ask the dealership owner if they could match a competitors price. She agreed with absolutely no hesitation. It just made my skin want to crawl because the salesman would not check to begin with. But all in all, I got the bike for $5153 with tax (and I purchashed a 36 month extended warranty).

I live in Northeast Ohio. We'll get to try that plow out more than we'd like probably.
My dad's gonna go down tomorrow, I think we'll probably get it but I'll let ya know.</end quote></div>
So...how did it turn out? Is the 500 now sitting in your garage? Just curious...
