gas cap leaking

Default gas cap leaking

has anyone had trouble with the gas cap leaking i have baught a new seal new cap and seal and still leaks it looks like it is coming from around the cap thaught maybe the neck was cracked but is not cracked was wondering if a plugged vent line could be the trouble i am guessing most of the polaris are the same i have a 2004 sportsman 500 6x6

Default gas cap leaking

Don't know about that particular model, but on mine, there is a vent line off tank itself. Could it be coming from that and not the cap itself?

Like I said, your tank may be different, but it's something to look at.

use teflon tape on the threads
