I recently took my 700 to the shop for the water pump leaking out the weep hole. When i got it back I changed the oil then rode it. After riding it for ten minutes it started smoking. I stopped and checked the oil. Oil was fine and looked new. Could I possibly have a blown head gasket? They also did some recall on some tube that could freeze during cold weather.

White smoke and the longer it runs the more smoke it puts out.

White smoke is usually antifreeze.

Yes the radiator got packed with mud and it flashed hot on the instrument cluster and I imediatley shut it down and cleaned out radiator and rode on. Rode for an hour more and engine never smoked or got hot.

Well seeing how you overheated it and now you burning antifreeze.I guessing its the head gasket.Somehow antifreeze is getting into your cylinder head.

I agree...White smoke = anti-freeze. What tube was there a re-call for? Do you know the years?
