Yeah, I have insurance. I may be stupid but I'm not retarded. Or is that the other way around? No problem dealing with them anyway. I had it chained up and the keys weren't in it. They said it's not my fault. The guy came out and looked around and couldn't figure out anything better to do with it. He said LoJack but LoJack says the warranty is automatically void on off-road vehicles if I can even get one installed. I had 5 ATVs stolen in 2 years. I think. I lost count. First it was the '97 and the '01, then the '06, then the '06 again, then the '08. I think my insurance is $125 or $130 a year. I changed from a $500 deductible to $100 for collision and comp so it went up, $20 I think. It was closer to $100 a year before that.
The problem with insurance is that if you spend $8,000 and by the time it's stolen NADA says it's only worth $4,000, that's all you get. Replacement costs aren't covered, and they lose value like a car does as soon as you drive it off the dealer's lot. Since the last one was brand new I didn't lose my a$$ like when the first two were stolen and they only gave me enough money to replace one of them.
On the subject of plows, I finally got the mount I ordered this summer. First they ordered a Glacier II instead of a Glacier I, then one for a twin cylinder instead of a single cylinder, then they finally called and said they had the right mount, but I waited until last week to pick it up, since I didn't have anything to put it on. The Glacier plow is one that you can leave on year round and not have anything hanging down like most mounts have. If you're dealing with a new salesman just make sure he orders the right parts.

: I've left my mount on since new in '03. Never had any issues when trail riding or hooking up plow. Only thing I noticed were ends of the U-bolts bent alittle, no big deal unless I ever want to remove it then I would just cut them off anyway.

I have the Glacier 2 plow system. I haven't put my bottom plate mount on yet, waiting to its abit
colder and these ride trips fizzle out. That said, I left the plate on my 450 all year in the same year
I bought it. No issues, and I agree it kinda acts as a bottom skid plate. Only things is scraping
big rocks underneath so go a littler easier when you hit those areas on the trail is all I did.
