Default charging system

OK I ordered a book, but it won't be here for a week. I did find the hot wire coming from the battery on the front panel. With the atv off it shows 12.5 volts when you start it it goes to 11 volts when you rev the engine it goes to barely 12.02 volts but not for long. I do believe it it the regulator. I have ordered one. Your thoughts, and thanks for all your help you have been very helpfull.

Default charging system

Ok I have replaced CDI, new regulator, new battery. I am only getting about 12.5 volts to the battery when above idle. At idle I am getting right around 12 volts to battery. Does this mean I need to rplace stator?

WAIT until you get manual as I suggested on my second post to you ! Dont buy any more parts until you do! Not trying to be sarcastic, but electrical problems are sometimes the hardest to trace! What may seem obvious may not be! I've had to learn the hard way myself. Good luck
