Do the sportsman 600,700 and 800 use the same frame?I just want some info on these legendary handling machines, being an avid polaris fan I just want to know. Also is the 600 a twin?Does the 500 use the same frame?Do the x2 500 and 800's use the same frame?

on say like the 04' to 07' i think there all the same frame, except they dont the 600 any more. basicly the 400 up to the 800(not 100%sure) use the same basic frame. not sure about the x2 as its a longer frame i do beleave. imo.

My 600 has been a good machine it is easy on gas (very simmalar to a 500) very smooth power (twin) never have had any issues other than the rear brake brake master cylinder kept loosing its prime needeing replacent at 200.00 a pop.

The only upgrade I wish the 600 had is EFI as it would help tremendously with cold start ability! I also use mine for plowing snow all year long and it works good for that pourpose.

The twins use a different frame, mostly noticed in the front end components, and where the rear gearbox is. The twins have a seperate gearbox with a driveshaft unlike the single slugs, which changes the rear part of the frame.

Top speed will vary per machine, not sure why, but I would guess a average for a 800 with a 175 pound man would be 75 mph, maybe more.
