Here is one to chew on. I've never looked to check this but does the odometer on my sportsman count up when I am traveling in reverse? Has any one ever checked on that?
The reason I ask is when plowing I am in reverse as much as I am in forward.

I can do a lot less then ride backward to have my wife call me a retard.
This thread should be fun though. If it runs milage off the odometer in reverse, I'll start one to see who can run the most miles off on a single ride.

im pretty sure you'll find the milage Does add up as your speedos are still registing the spped backwards. imo.

 

If I could ride a mile backward without hitting anything I could tell you.

 

just use the force lol.

I'm with stendori,if the speedo is registering the mileage is counting. Best I remember the speedo did work in reverse on my 800. A function of the new fangled electronic speed sensor.
