Lift Kits for 2008 700 X2
#1
I am not one for lifting my ATV but I'm tired of high centering my ride. This past weekend I did this 3 times in water just over 10" deep folowing a budy on his 800 Sportsman that is stock and he just cruises through. With the longer wheel base and the added tonage, I think this must be the Issue best I can figure. Question 1 would a 2" lift help? 2nd I have looked all over and can not find a kit available for my 2008 700 X2 .

I agree I don't think there are very many companies offering lifts for these machines. One problem is the macpherson strut front suspension.
I also am running 14" wheels and 26 inch maxxis bighorns and I have not ran into any trouble yet.

Go with bigger tires nd rims. THe stock carlisle 489's are suppose to be 25 inch tires but mine seem to measure more like 23 1/2". With a lift you have to worry about the added stress and the angles of your driveline geometry. Tires will give you an increase in ground clearance.

I would recomend bigger tires and a rubberdown lift personally. RD is great to deal with and bigger tires with a little more aggressive tread will help the most.

Thanks all.....
The bigest thing was finding the kit for the 08 X2' the 07 and under were out there to buy but not the 08 kits. I found a kit this week and put it on last night and it fits well. I got 2" lift in the front and 1 1/2 in the back. http://stores.ebay.com/Super-ATVs is were I got it. The bets part of it was that it got the sag out of the front tries were there not bowing in on the top anymore. The kit was under 100.00 bucks so if it becomes an issue with the drive line I will take it off but I did not see a big CV angle change with the 1 1/2".
