500 scrambler clutch question

Default 500 scrambler clutch question

my question is on my scrambler my clutches are 10 1/2 inch apart are they supposed to be this far apart and my clutch does not grab well.it has new belt and i would like to get it to pull better any help greatly appreciatted thanks

Default 500 scrambler clutch question

Supposed to be 10 inches center to center of clutch bolts. If off,check front motor mount for damage/movement and engine in general for movement. Also clutch alignment,plus rear clutch parts wear can cause problems.

Default 500 scrambler clutch question

I had a similar problem on my scrambler. I got a clutch kit from erlandson performance inc. Now it snaps the back tires loose on pavement. well worth it.

could be the bottons in the secondary cluch ive heard they were out and cause problems like you are saying.

A Lot better clutching for less $$$$$$ than EPI.But if it works..................
