I know of several instances of people that have had the cases crack due to rocks or chain breaks. Do you think it would be possible to come up with a case guard of some type to prevent this type of failure? What would you make it out of? How would you mount it. Anyone have any thoughts. I just want to try and prevent this from happening.

Thanks KD

Here is the story. Polaris had a problem with some of the cases cracking due to rocks and chain breaks. The problem was due to improper casting polaris started useing a new company to do the casting and the company changed the pour spot which weakend the integrity of the case. However they since corrected the problem so this should not happen anymore. Good luck!!

Look in the latest issue of DirtWheels in the back under hot set ups they have a nice picture of a homemade one for a Raptor. This should give you some ideas on what it should look like and how they mount. HTH

Is there a way to determine if you have one of the defective ones?

Thanks KD
