Front housing oil fill

Default Front housing oil fill

What is the easiest way to fill the front housing with oil. i have a 700 efi sportsman and i tried filling through the vent but that does not work very well. is there another way. please help.

Default Front housing oil fill

Someone mentioned using one of those large syringes that the vets use for horses and cows, plus you can measure out exactly how much you need, I think 150cc's.

Default Front housing oil fill

5/16" fill plug on front right side as you are facing machine. Shows 5 ounces in manual,but can only get about 4 back in before starts to pour out of fill hole.

i use a tube on an end of a squeeze bottle works good.
