Yes, the rims are great. I have a few scratches on the face of the outer bead on the front rims, but other than that I've had no problems. If I was to do it again, I'd have 9" wide tires on the front instead of the spec'd 8" for more rim protection.

Get plenty of riding time in while it's under warranty so if it has any bugs the dealer can fix it. Definitely get a good winch, preferably 3000lbs w/synthetic cable and have extra straps/clevices and a ****** block. Keep it clean, lubed, and maintained. Buy or download a service manual. This forum is awesome so frequent it regularly. Last, but not least, laugh out loud at all the people with lesser machines that you dance around with your wheeler while they are stuck(and offer to pull them out).

I bought my 07 Sportsman 800 Deluxe last September. First quad and I think it's great. Mine came with a Polaris winch as part of the Deluxe pkg, but I've read on the forums that they are a POS. Haven't had any problems with mine yet. I don't have a plow on it, and have only used it a couple of times to pull non-Polaris wheelers out of mud holes that I had just gone through! LOL. All the advice from everybody else is pretty much on the money. The only other thing I would say is check the engine oil drain plug. Mine was so tight the first time I went to change oil that it tore apart! Even though it was out of warrantee, the dealer got the stuck one out and replaced it for free.
Good riding, and enjoy!!!
