Calley,
I consider the above an essential tool for any basic toolbox. I'm sure any parts store would stock it like Napa, Advanced Auto Parts, Sears, Auto Zone, ect.
Don't take the tank off, you're just going to start a gas leak or something.

I had the tank off mine last year...It's not hard to take it off....
As I remember it was more of a time consuming task rather than an involved one.....Obviously you first gotta get the plastic out of the way.....Once the plastic was out of the way I disconnected the harness at the top of the sending unit.....There's only a few screws to remove and be careful to take care that when removing not to damage the vent line which runs down thru the steering stem.....I'm no wizard with these things but once you get in there it's pretty self explanatory......Good luck...Hope that helped...

Claw gripper like that is a dollar store item here. You could also try a smaller hose duct taped to a vacuum cleaner hose. Possibly trap it that way.</end quote></div>
Never, never, never suck gas fumes with a vacuum cleaner, unless you like noise and fire. Tried it, didn't like it.

I'm going to Sears to try to find a grappling tool - the dam thing is jammed up inside the tank at the front end of it and it looks like its gonna be a bitch to get it out...I can barely see it. Arent those nozzles supposed to float???
