400 sport issues, suspension
#1
hi all this is my first post on here and i dont kno a whole lot about atvs. but recently i picked up a 96 400 sport for pretty cheap, it just needed the whole left side suspension. coolant tank. battery and chain. but looking at it now it might need some more. but today i went and picked up what i was told and thought was a 97 sport. but when i got home i noticed it was a 4x4 atv and had shot bearing. so i got dicked out of 100 bucks. any ways i wanted to kno will a 250 trail blazer front hub and shocks work? also what kinda coolant do i put in this thing when i get my overflow tank in thanks chris

welcome to the forum. yes the hubs are the same and you can use the same strut(shock) from a 96 to 97 trailblazer and differnt bikes in those years by the looks. coolant wants to be a 60/40 antifreeze mix. 50 /50 will work in a pinch. imo.

ok thanks i noticed in a pic tho that the brake disks look a little diffrent.... do you think it will be ok? also can the shocks be"serviced" or do you just replace them? reason im askin is because the auction says shocks might need serviced... and last but no least how do you know if a shock is shot or no good? should it slowly fall down if help up right or should it stay in an extended position'?
