Default Polaris ATP Tire Question

I am looking at some new tires for my 2004 ATP. I have stock rims on it and want to put 26x9x12's on the front and 26x12x12's on the rear. Will this work? The polaris dealer I spoke with said the rear tires may rub on the shocks. I do not understand how they would rub. The rear shocks on the ATP are not close to my current tires. I just figured the guy did not understand the ATP model set up.
I just do not want to have any rubbing on the front or rear.

Default Polaris ATP Tire Question

The manual lists the tires as 25x8x12 front and 25x11x12 rear. So, the tires would be 1/2" wider on each side. I would check the fronts more than the rears for clearance.
