That's incrediable numbers for a big bore ATV. Where I'm going to be riding, it's going to be mostly washed out railroad beds, some hills and technical trails, so if I can average 19MPG then that would be wonderful.

Nice review, I am really not suprised.
I'm also not suprised at the mileage, they do real well. But you must remember the CVT strives to keep the Engine in it's prime power making RPM range regardless of speed. IMO the higher your average speed the higher you mileage will be,to an extent. Obviously if you could run WOT for the majority of the time wind resistence ect would reduce mileage. But if you average 30-50MPH the mileage will be alot better than if you average 5-10 mph. Mine gets no where near 21,or even 19 for that matter. My average speed over a tank of gas is 4-5mph though, and compared to the 800 that I rode the same way the 850 is WAY more efficient. It's probably better to look at hours per gallon. I get at least 1.7 hrs. per gallon and I am impressed with that for my riding style.

Yes you need to take into consideration the conditions on which you are riding, the type of climate and if it's a windy day. 1.7 hrs. per gallon is really good. I'm thinking I can get a full 8 hours of riding time per one full tank. I'm not the type of guy who likes to keep it a WOT, I like the low and midrange sprints, but depending on the trail or conditions, that sometimes may not work that way.
In any event, from what everyone is saying about it, is an awesome machine, and getting more excited about it as each day goes by..
