For hunting I would think that you need a smaller wheelbase ATV to get into those tight-spots off the beaten path.
I think ON the trails, the large beastly Sportsman is just fine, but deep woods OFF the trail (hunting,ect) where you have and inch here and there or you wouldn't make it through, I think it's just too big.
The midsize Sportsman family (say the SP400) I think would be the ideal off-the trail hunting animal.
Trade it for something smaller imo.
P.S. It's fantastic to read that Popo will repair your ATV under warranty!

The sportsman is just fine for hunting, I don't really know many people that are very sucessfull deer hunting when they are blazing trails in the woods, tends to scare the hell out of all the deer for miles.
We have used our sportsmans for hunting for years, as with any normal hunting grounds with trails, we get along just fine. Good luck!!!
