on my 96 xplorer 400 i topped off my counterbalancer which was really low, now on a little clear hose that attaches just in front of the counterbalancer fill plug and runs up to the bottom of the fuel tank and just open ends when the machine is running i am gettin an oily heavier substance out of there but when i ent to park the machine for the weekend and turned the gas off with it still running it stopped

Too much oil? only takes 75 cc's of 30 wt oil OR is it milky colored? This can be antifreeze in counterbalancer from worn water pump seals pumping out

The counter balance will overflow IF overfilled, that's what your seeing I'd bet. It won't effect the motor. It will continue to overflow until it get's the proper level. Only holds 2.5 oz. Book states..."If overfilled excess oil will be expelled through the vent hose."
