this past weekend i attended a party where i knew i was to be the black sheep. there were 2 sporstman 500s, 1 magnum 500, 1 sportsman 335, and 1 Arctic Cat 500. i was ribbed and ridiculed especially after i lost the drag race to the magnum. when i bought the ac i knew it was not a speed demon, rather a pure workhorse with gobbs of low end torque. so why did those young farts make such a big deal out of beating an arctic cat in a drag race? i guess they know that's the only thing they will beat the ac at so they have to have their fun while it lasts.

Could have been worse, could have been a bunch of YamaHonda Sport Punks. At least the Polaris bunch hung out with you. Hey I had a Cat once, it was pretty fast, I know it would beat that 335 SP. But I didn't get rid of the Cat for being underpowered, That Darn Cat did not handle well at speed, lack of anti-sway bar, pushed in the turns (understeer). I prefer the Polaris handling,
a little oversteer, and of course, it totally kicks, just gotta stay away from those damn
Raptors and Banshees. All I need is a trail with some rocks to make those guys run for their trailers. You cats can go riding with us anytime,
last one to the next gate buys the next round!! YeeeHHAAAAhhh!!!1

Speed doesn't mean squat. Nor does looks. I have an old 1976 AC Panther 4000 440 eng. snowmobile. It doesn't matter to me, it gets good mileage, gets me where I am going. The speedo cable doesn't work, but it will go as fast as my old heart will stand.
It mine and paid for.
When I'm out on my sp500ho, the same applies.

The people who put speed above all else are likely not fully matured yet. For some, this comes at 20, for others 120. I do like to buzz around fast sometimes, but am usually just happy to get where I am going.

I know what ya mean it has lots to do with braggin rights. My buddy is like that we go round and round. First he had a wheeler then i got a 98 sp 500 then he got a 99 600 grizz I ran a ford he ran a chev Now i raun a chev 97 1/2 ton z71 leather 3 door He goes and buys a 3/4 ton long box diesel. He gets a snomobile trailer then i buy one he gets a bigger one. Then i buy a nicer trailer And a house. Get married and now have a baby. He is divorced with a kid and getting remarried and buying a house. So now i sell my trailer and buy a 16' tandam car trailer with electric brakes and update my quads 99 400 scram and a 2000 yellow sp 500 which is for sale. And there paid for too. I still have him beat and less payments. It really burns his But that i can go more places with the Sp then he can go with the grizz plus when i need to wax him i jump on the scram, But what really gets him is when the wife goes further then him on the scram. Aint it just fun rubbing it in.

Speed doesn't matter to me, or else I would have sold the TBlazer and kept my CR 500 powered ATC!!! (did anyone notice my signature is lacking a quad, well trike, now?) I decided I oughta go to school and get a real job and I was offered the same amount for the ATC as what the class cost. (did that make sense?)
