Yep, and those mounting plates are around 1/4" thick.

 

Yes you can leave the upper on year round.It's a metal skid plate then.It has matching holes for changing the oil and filter cut in.

You can also buy these from Rocky mountain ATV.They list them as a Tusk product.They are the same as Eagle just different stickers.
