someone breaks something, but if anything has evidence of being a problem it looks like this belt issue has a possibility..
4 maybe 5 broken low mileage belts just between 2 forums...I think that is the highest number of common problems yet..
Edit-let me revise what I said..it might not be a bug as much as a need for clutching wiht oversize tires, something I brought up awhile back...loks like most if not all of the failures involve tires with larger that 26" diameter,2 I know had 28's,not sre how big sombitchls1's Bighorns are? 1 that I know of had stock tires and broke at about 130 miles..</end quote></div>
Stock size bighorns on my bike HO...

oh boy.....that is very disturbing to read after spending 20+ this weekend for two XP's! With auto's there are regional service managers that will intervene on issues between dealers and consumers, is there an equivalent with Polaris? Two problems here ..... 1 - why did the belt fail in 20 hours, that is more disturbing than 2- the dealer won't stand behind his product and take care of a customer.

wow! ok just got off the phone with polaris... all they're telling me to do is contact my dealer! WTF</end quote></div>
Go to a different dealer, they all warranty polaris machines.

being a new XP's owner watching this thread is very concerning. is this typical for Polaris in the sense of no intermediary actions on behalf of a customer? I think I got better customer support when I returned some kitchen utensils due to a chemical taste they left in my soup! lol (Sorry SB_ls1, i know this is not funny and I think I would be flipping out) tough situation!
