Default Heavy Duty verus Non (from ebay)

So I have been researching buying 2 new front drive shafts fo my 2001 Scrambler. I have asked some sellers, but no one was able to give me a solid answer as to why some of them are advertised "heavy duty", while others are not. Iknow the pictures are not always what they are suppose to be, but from that, they all look identical. Especially the 2 from Gerson Parts and American CV.

Does anyone know the answer to this? And, advice here. Should I buy the $145 dollar range shaft, or step up to the $180 dollar range, or should I buy used oem shafts from a parted out model?

Any experience here would help.

Thanks,

JJ in Pittsburgh

the cv man axles are advertised as "heavy duty", which look to be the same ones from American CV. his reply back to me was that they are stressed tested to last 10% longer than oem.

well, if that is the case, 10% longer isn't worth another $80, if the other brands meet or exceed oem specifications.

instead of 10 years, they will last 11 is the way I look at it, and completing this rebuild on a budget is $80 I could use on much more needed parts.
