Default Polaris Sportsman XP Lock & Ride Backrest

Hello,

Within the next two weeks or so, I plan on purchasing the Polaris Sportsman XP Lock & Ride Backrest for my machine. The

The folks that have this backrest, can you tell me how you like it? Is it easy to install and take off?

Basically we need to have this backrest in order to ride a passenger, and how much did you pay for yours? Most of the time, I will be riding alone, but there are day that my better half will come along too.

Thank you for your answers.

I don't have one for the XP yet...but I had one for the 800..should be real similar...matter of fact someone said the one off the 800 will work on the XP..but i have not confirmed that...
It is very easy to install and take off...it had 2 metal L brakets in the front..you just sit it on the rack tilted slightly to keep the lock and ride anchors from hitting and slide it back a little until the little L brakets seat under the edge of the holes in the rack then push the anchors in the holes and flip the lever down..done...it also had thumb screw so you can adjust the position of the back rest..loosen the thumb screws and the back rest will slide in the mount...
Because of the metal L brackets once installed it is very secure...

Thanks guys! Sounds like this is the backrest for me! I like the idea that it is adjustable. All I need to now is find the cheapest place to buy one

Try e-bay..Breese and one other place,a Ford dealer, can't remember the name.. usually have some good prices and some times they will have the 'make an offer option" I offered $120 on the front storage box and got it..besides I like Breese, the service has always been great and they ship fast..I paid for the box last night and it shipped today.

...probably lol...IMO common sense applies..some people shouldn't ride 2 up on a 2 up machine...and others can ride 2 up on a single seater and never have a problem....
