Default Kill Switch not working

Hi all!
I need some help troubleshooting the kill switch on my 2002 Sportsman 700.

The problem is when I switch the kill switch on the handle bar to off, the engine does not shut down.

The guages DO turn off, so technically the switch is working?
Any help regarding this would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Gary

Wow, that was quick. What was it? Broken/loose wire?

I was replacing the headlight bulb in the pod when I noticed a loose brown wire behind the ignition switch in the pod.
The plug going into ignition switch had another brown wire going to it so I used a scotch lok wire connector to splice the broken wire to it. When I did that the kill switch started working again.
