Central, near Winston Salem myself.
You do have some nasty swamps and bogs down that way.</end quote></div>
Yes we do...wish I enjoyed mud more because it is EVERYWHERE here..
I used to..but it's gotten kind of old and besides the clean up sucks...I prefer trail riding and the riskier the better..lol..luckily I live in one of the few spots in the area that actually has some terrain features..
I plan to hit up Uwharrie and WV in the near future...

HO,
what size tires came oiue on yours. I read that you had went back to stock rims but the tire size is still pretty big.
I have a 00 Xpedition 425 that has 27X12X12 rear and 27x10x12 front. Rear apparently way to heavy for the axle and snapped it at the hub. You mentioned the steering lightened up after the change. Was it real noticable? Mine steers hard and you really have to work it riding slow in the mud.

Good points HO!
Let us know in the days ahead of any negative impact
when as you try different things on the trail, etc.
Seems like a pretty solid approach and NO I could not
tell from the pics that you had re-shaped it.
Cheers,
R'

If you ever decide to hit the HM trails in WV, let me know. My son and I have talked about going. Ya never know, maybe we could hook up for a bit, do some riding and tell some ole Leatherneck stories (well old for me LOL).

Dave-Will do, that is where I want to go..bad...just a matter of finding the time..it will likely be a short notice trip for me...one of those...hey next week is doable let's go! I would like to make a solid plan...but want to go with some friends so that requires juggling multiple schedules... we'll see..
I'll give you a heads up just in case it fits your schedule..
R-I'll let y'all know if I encounter any negatives..I doubt I will..the swaybar link angles change quite a bit with suspension travel..so the little bit of change in the angle won't affect them at all I don't think..
As far as track goes...I can't see any negatives over the wider track, other than a little less theoretical stability and the tires don't really protect the plastic anymore so I have to be more careful..

Yea, a short notice trip probably won't work for both my son and I... but ya never know.
Keep me posted.

OK, so I managed to fit 26" bighorns 2.0s on the stock rear wheels after using HO's "method". The clearance is tight if the suspension is unloaded, but when you load it the clearance increases...I plowed with it today with no apparent problems. I suppose I could bend it more, but if I do it will hit the exhaust shield when rotating the bar back into position.
