Default Front storage box on XP

I got my box a few days ago....man it hods alot stuff,lol...
Defintely makes the front end seem real tall..probably wouldn't seem so high with a rear box mounted up..but no biggie definitely serves it's purpose, and that is another reason it holds more than the old front boxes...the lid is alot deeper..the box itself may not be deeper but the lid more than makes up for that...

Yep, I really like that front box. That's a "must have" on my list... for sure. The folks at Polaris are not dummies. They saw a nice junk of change coming by "not" integrating a box like the older Sportsman's. Of course, if you buy a bike other than Polaris, you have to buy a box for the front too... if you want one.

Dealer gave it to me for cost + tax = $133 Canadian..=$108 US. If I ordered it on line from Polaris it was $230 + tax + shipping = $275 Can. I was real pleased with the deal I got.

It looks to be 149.99 on the Polaris site. $108 was still a good deal.

Yes, and if $108 is dealer cost, then the dealers are making a nice profit even when they give 10% off.

I'm going to shop around a LOT more on my next quad and accessories. LOL

Oh..I believe that is dealer cost, or more(US dealers anyway)lol...if $108 is dealer cost that means the place I bought mine from made $12 on it..they probably made a few bucks on shipping as well...but still, they might have made $20 at most...
Really $41 profit up on a $149 MSRP item is not outrageous at all..and 99% of us never pay msrp..the smaller the purchase the higher the mark up generally..otherwise it isn't worth messing with...you might be suprised...what some things are marked up! Over %100 is not uncommon on small items between wholesale and retail(not talking ATV stuff just in general)
Take the retail price of the Lock and Ride anchors for instance..ridiculous! How much you think those cost to make..and I bet dealer price is WELL below retail..heck 2 of those, ordered through PurePolaris, retail for almost half of what I paid for my front box,and yes it includes 2 anchors,lol..
Think of the other side of the coin..if you only made $15 a box and had to pay some one to handles the sales, set up shipping ect, then pay the light bills... ect you get the point...some dealers don't even bother with accessories for that very reason.....
But I do like the ones who do and do it in volume..better prices for us!
