05 scrambler no start
#1
2005 scrambler 500HO. Had it for little over a year, maintained. No upgrades.
Starter spins, doesn't turn engine over. Pull start will not move, not even a inch. Tires will not spin, no matter what postion the gear selector is in. Linkage from gear selector to transmission is still intact.
I was thinking, possible starter gear failure getting stuck between the housing, or the flexplate for the starter has broken.
Anyone else run into this kind of problem? Any advice would be helpful!

i ws going to say it wouldnt matter if the engine woul;dnt turn over or not to have the tires move so either as you guys stated the belt stopping the secondary from turning or something broke in the trans. if he can move the gear selector between the forward/n/ reverse.
