gas backing up crankcase

Default gas backing up crankcase

i have a 96 polaris express 300 two stroke i was riding it this weekend and it ran fine for about 30 min. then it cut off so a friend of mine came over to try and start but would not start i dont know if i left the choke open but we changed plug sprayed ether and noticed a lot of gas on on plug we pulled the plug underneath motor and sum gas came out we let it drain but still wont start what should i do

Needle, seat & float is sticking and filling the engine with unregulated fuel. Take the carb off & clean it GOOD!!!! Maybe even get a new needle & seat combo.

catman hit it right! clean it good cuz needle and seats dont really go bad too often, and floats, unless they have a hole in them wont go bad. I would have an experienced mechanic do this for you.Starting fluid has a place in life, on the shelf thats it!!!! It's purpose is for starting something that has a problem! After all if it was good for an engine we would run it instead of gasoline! Fix ur problem and you'll find that engines run when gas and a spark meet at the right time! Sorry for being like this but I've seen many a burnt piston due to starting fluid.

^^^^all the above are correct.
Might as well pick up a new head gasket along with that needle and seat.
Throw that ether away!
