I have a 96 trailblazer stock the thing never had much power to get the front wheels of the ground or for jumping. I am currently rebuilding the top end and installing a green primary spring. (would install whole clutch kit but piston and motor work is takinking up the majority of my funds) what sort of sproket combo would be best for good low end power and the ability to pull wheelies. Thanks.

Hey Epithelium~
My uncle has a 99 trailblazer w HPD pipe and clutch kit. He wanted to gear it down for pulling a small trailer around the yard. So instead of the 12 tooth front sprocket, he went up to a 13 tooth. It worked great, but the machine would only top out a little over 40mph. Gearing down will definitely make wheelies easier, but at the cost of some top speed...that's just a decision you'll have to make. Good luck!

The complete clutch kit with weights, primary and secondary springs is only $80 through HPD. I'd just save up the extra few bucks for that rather than messing with the sprockets. It'll give you some wheelie power without sacraficing top end.

Hi WIscrambler,

Wouldn't going from a 12 tooth front sprocket to a 13 tooth gear it up for more top speed and less take-off speed?

Hey guys~
Sorry, I meant to say he went down to an 11 tooth front sprocket. I knew he had a one tooth change, my thinking was just backwards. Sorry!
