Default ECM, PDM, Sure power module, controller module

I have two machines in the shop now that need new ECM's. 2007's. Since they are now paper weights I thought I'd tear one apart and see if i could find a burned spot, broken wire, burned connections or resistor, whatever, etc. One of them didn't have(guessing) 400 miles on it. So I thought I'd take a couple pics and post them. Prolly won't help anybody with anything but oh well, here they are(if I do this right)

One of the bad ecm's would keep the fan running constantly(key on) and the other one wouldn't give any electrical to the machine at all. I poked around with an ohmmeter trying to see if I could find anything that tests different between the two but didn't. To many little diodes, resistors etc to check.

the black stuff on the blue cap is it insulation from the circuitry under it or did it leak out?
if i were to put money on whats wrong with the thing i would say its one of those transistors on the side.

I figured the same thing, but testing and comparing them, they all tested the same between the 2(which had different failures so I figured if it was those, the corresponding ones would test different). I was going to unsolder the bad one(if I found one) and try to fix the other one but that didn't seem to be it. The black stuff looked more like an insulation/vibration dampner maybe.

That's just glue holding it in place,But I am on my third one..........Is this the one made in China/
Or the one made in the U.S.A.?
Black one =china
Silver one =U.S.A
Question if it was done under warrenty ......They asked me for the return of both of mine!!
Didn't you need to give it back ?
Caper..............
