To adjust the chain on the preddy just loosen to two bolts on the rear axle and rotate the axle forward to tighten it. Or, you can consult the owners manual. Just remember that when you sit on it it will tighten more, so leave some slack.

Welcome to the forum!

BTW, I've heard you can download the manuals on pdf form at Polaris' website. I did a search on this forum and found one for an 03 posted up. The chain adjustment would be the same. You can also try predatorowners.com. It is a great website for predator owners and you may have even better luck there. This is, imo, the best website for polaris atv's, particularly sportsmans. However, if you are only looking for help with your predator, don't expect as much response as there aren't very many of us on here that own them. The drawback to the predator owners website is that it doesn't get the traffic this forum gets. I guess what I'm saying is you have to get a sportsman! LOL! Just kidding, of course!

What mods do you have on your preddy?

nothing yet firehog. was getting ready to order pipe and jet kit and the owner of our work was caught for wire fraud to the tune of millions. so i am at work but only on a limited basis bc the feds seased all his assets inlucding all his dealerships so kinda had to hold on to the money in case i was going to be out of a job. i am very impressed with the power this quad has from the factory tho. but im a speed junkie so its never fast enough.

That sucks about work.....seems like many "bosses" have been doing wrong for some time and are all getting caught now. Sure screws all of us that have been honest and doing good!

Get used to the stock form anyway. Intake and exhaust really wake up the preddy.

Good luck!

It's funny you say they are never fast enough......I'm digging for reasons not to send my motor off to be bored out! I keep reminding myself that it is plenty fast now and very reliable. But, you know how that goes!

yea i think i am just gonna do bolt ons for now. rectifier , pipe , jet kit, and maybe cdi box. think that will b enough for a while to satisfiy my speed cravings. anything i should know about doing any of these things. wont hurt the quad or any thing will it.
