ok, when i engage to put in 4wd the light on the button comes on just as its supposed to, but when i start pulling the left front tire wont pull or engage at all. i jacked up the bike and had a friend put it in 4wd. The left front tire would spin but i can hold the tire from spinning with my hands and it feels like it wants to engage but it just doesn't.

My guess is that i have a internal problem in the hub. What should i be looking for to fix this problem? Thanks

 

maybe the armature plates are bad? check for voltage going to the hub. if you have power then change your hub fluid. refill with polaris fluid. if that still doesnt cure it i would say the armature plate is bad

 

check for broken wire.
amso there is a key on the axle. possibly sheared, easy.
pull hub, slide off bearings, slide roler cage with center off drive shaft, replace key, reassemble.

I know I had the same problem...
