wrong place sorry

has no key and the person i bought it from put a toggle switch so it runs but the lights dont work can any 1 tell me how to get them working can i cut the key switch wires and splice then together to get them working

sounds like all they did was provide a break in the black wire that runs to the cdi. therefore not providing a hot wire to any of the electrical when the key is supposed to be on.
