Polaris GlacierII whimpy plow frame plate

Don't waste you time contacting Polaris with complaints of this JUNK frame. You just recieve a Bull **** form letter. Same goes for Moose the maker of this piece of Junk. As far as replacing the self tapping bolts goes, it seems to have helped. The only bolts that have loosen are the 2 in the Weld-Brushguard, might want to check them often. Tested on what remained of the snow plowed banks still in the yard the real nuts & bolts & Loc-Tite are holding. I doubt that the Jack Off's at Polaris will pass on this info to their customers. I even passed on the address to ATV Connection to Polaris, but doubt that will wake those Jack Off's up. When it comes right down to it as far as Polaris goes, I believe their Motto is "You bought it your stuck with it SUCKER" Hope my suggestion on the seft tapping crap bolts was a help. I believe Polaris uses them, cause it take a bit more time to install real nuts & bolts and a dab of Loc-Tite. "Cheap Lazy Jack Offs"
Also don't waste you time with Moose plows either. They don't even have the ***** to reply.

Update on GlacierII plow & frame. Moose does not make the plow or frame for Polaris. Polaris sub's it out to some other company. Waiting for an answer from my dealership that so far has play dumb of the manufacture.

I had the Moose rapid mount on my Rincon and it was strong. It took several hard hits last winter and never bent. I have kept quite because on this thread because I thought maybe it was the design difference from the Rinny vs the SP. But after looking at both they look just as strong. I just installed my new Moose mount last week on my SP800. I used it the other day to level some dirt. No issues at all. Will keep you all updated on it. I also have a 60 inch blade.

Thor:
From what I understand Moose doesn't make the plow or frame for the 07 Sportsman 500. They might for the 800, I don't know. But I understand that the frame and the way it's mounted for the 700 & 800 are mounted
differently, and the frame plate is thicker. But be aware of those self tapping bolts they still use according to the owner of this dealership.
But none of that matters to me now, cause I'm sick of this piece of **** dealership. I haven't owned it more than 7 months and it's been in the shop 5 times. Which makes it fall under the lemon law, and the Federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act Law. So this lying owner at this dealership is going to eat this quad because of this Junk frame. And for the knocking and howling in the drive train that they say is "The nose is just the nature of the Beast"
Except the Beast didn't sound like it does now when I first took ownership. It was back in the shop 2 weeks after I got it for rear suspension parts replacement. Don't know who's building the Glacier II plow & frame, and this dealership owner is playing dumb and isn't saying. He's not returning my calls now that he knows he's been caught blowing smoke. Next call he'll get is from my lawyer. When we're done making an example of this rude conniving owner. I'll post the name of his dealership. He tried to buy me off with another 6 month warranty and a $100.00 gift card. What a Joke!

FYI
Don't except any plow & frame from Polaris dealerships without requesting the installation instructions. Because the instuctions clearly points out in bold lettering that the bolts have to be retorqued after a 1/2 hour of plowing. By the dealership not by you to avoid voiding your warranty, and the bull **** 5mph plowing speed in small print. And be advised that these instruction have been revised 3 times, according to this dealership owner. I'd guess most likely do to complaints to Polaris about their JUNK Glacier II plow frame.
P.S. I don't believe self tapping bolts have any place on a plow frame.

I haven't personally seen the newer set ups, but if I were you I would definitely change them out if possible. As far as size goes it should be the same as the junk self tappers. The 2 that I had replaced are a bit hard to install on the 07 but it can be done. But don't do it if your frame is still under warranty. If it is you better off requesting you dealer to do it. My dealership contacted Polaris with the idea before they installed them. But I believe Polaris agreed just to appease me.

Hey Doug, I think Thor actually has the Moose RM3. Is that right THOR? The yellow is signature Moose not POPO Glacier2 they are black only. I you look at his RM3 mount in his pic you will notice the pegs are wider and stronger this is the same mount that is on the Glacier 2 XP version. Looking at my neighbors 500 it is clear that the mount is different (lighter) but the plows mount interchangeable.
