I bought a used sportsman 500ho and can not find the vin numbers i also have a 95 400 vin on its on the right side easy to find maybe it has been took off,also how do i check the trans oil dont see a dip stick.

the vin number should be on the left side lower frame rail just behind the rear mount of the Afraime the tranny fill hole/dipstick should be on the right side about 3 inches in frunt of the rear axel about 2 inches down from the top hope this help's you
