Default 98 trailblazer starting issues!

I have a 98 trailblazer 250. Starts great cold. After I take it riding for an hour or so, if I shut it off I will almost not get it started again. After I play with the throttle and choke some, sometimes it will start and sometimes it wont. Not fun loading this heavy thing if it dont! Any suggestions is appreciated.

Check compression, happens to low compression machines a lot. they will start and run for awhile, but loose compression even more through piston/cylinder when warm, hard to restart. Should be a minimum of 100 psi cold, but this is borderline, can loose even more after running.
