A few questions after the first weekend driving a 1998 Polaris scrambler 400?
#1
I took my 1998 Polaris scrambler 400 4x4 for a my first ride and I was not impressed with its ability of getting through snow but I have a new problem now I was wondering if it is normal that the belt cords come out and cut a long slice in the clutch cover? It is like a string coming out of the side of the belt. Is this something which happens allot with this atv? Or is it maybe because the belt was old? well I hope this doesn't happen all the time to it I am going to change the belt and fiber glass the belt cover whir it got cut.
The other problem is when it is in 2 wd and you floor it once and a while the right front wheel engages and pulls hard to the right? Wait might be the problem? What can I do to fix this?

Thank you for your help. I will try changing the oil in the hub's to see if that will help. Thanks so much. As for the axle I think I am going to need to try to make a new topic for that problem.
