Default Clutch cover melted.... I think. Why??

So I was doing something I wouldnt normally do with my Scrammy 400 4x4...pushing a brush pile about 100 feet thru the grass with a plow.

Well, I was going slow and ended up burning the belt a bit...saw the smoke.

Then, a little bit later, I heard a slapping noise on the clutch cover near the primary clutch. It touched it and BAAAM it was HOT....I could see the curve near the primary clutch actually melting and shriveling.

It seems this is somewhat typical? I know I shouldnt have been pushing the stuff, but it wasnt that heavy......maybe 100 lbs or so. Do you think I screwed anything else up?

So....I need a new clutch cover. What do they cost from the stealer? i cant seem to find anything decent used or aftermarket....any ideaS?

Had three of those Scramblers, sure wish Poo would have kept their heads screwed on and continued to make them little 2 stroke screamers!! Anyways, buy another cover and put heat tape on the inside of the cover, and make sure your vent tube is not plugged. I have a used counter balancer if you are interested
