So I finally got some riding time on my '00 Xpedition

So a few days ago i went out with my old man for a zip on the lake. I was on my 425 Xpedition and he was in his RZR. it was around 5pm and it was around the freezing temp (in northern Ontario). still lots of ice and the crust was thick enough to support the bikes. so we were ripping up and down the lake climbing the banks into the woods. it was the best time i had i a long time. on the road leading to the lake i even got the little 425 up to just over 50mph. so i'm completely happy with my $3300 purchase. the next morning we head out again for a little zip and again, great time.
I head home and call up my buddy to go for a ride by his place, the weather had started to turn and a light rain was falling, i thought it wouldn't be a big deal... long story short; we're 1/4 mile out in a swamp sinking in snow that had the support of packing peanuts. we spent more time lifting our bikes than actually riding them.
so in 1 day i got to see the best and worst that 4 wheeling has to offer. still no regrets. i'll just keep mind of weather from now on... at least till the snow melts.
on a side note, i think an oil change is in order. what brand/weight of oil should i be dumping in my Xpedition?
thanks

Xpedition is a great little bike. I miss mine, sold it to buy a Rzr.
It takes 5.5 qts. Mobil 1 is a good choice, but you should'nt use regular automotive 0/40. Xpedition has a wet clutch, and the friction modifiers from (Energy Conserving) automotive oil could have an effect on the clutches. I don't know for a fact this is a problem, just what I was advised. Mobil 1 does make 0/50 without the added ingredients. Thats what I used. They also made an oil specifically for wet clutch motorcycles, I've used that too. Cost savings were not that much over just buying the Polaris oil.
