Are you adding larger tires?..................The angle will change on you axles and shafts.......This can cause excess strain and wear on the parts....IMO...........yes you will gain ground clearance.....Caper......

All I know is the Angle will change and it will all depend on the way the Quad will be used..........Someone with more info and that has a lift done can tell you the trouble/problems that may develop.....Caper..................

Most post I seen with lifts though involve much larger tires .....Then adds more rolling weight..!!!

i have the gorilla lift and axles. the cv joint from gorilla
can handle the extra strain that comes from the lift.
i had a boot tear on me and it ran dry for not sure how long i just pulled
the axle to replace the boot and the cv is still in good shape. IMO they
are worth the extra money if you plan on lifting.

Default Lift

You can do the 2" lift with no problems. You will have to do a little grinding on the front struts(should be in the instructions) for cv boot clearance. Depending on what size tires you plan on going to it would be a good idea to invest in a set of Gorilla axles. I did the two inch lift on my old 02 700 Sportsman and went with 27" tires and stock axles. Mudded the living death out of it and never had any isuues.

Default Lift-Gorilla Axles

If you really want to go for broke buy the Gorilla 6" lift with axles. Had that on my 05 800 and it totally rocked! The folks at Gorilla are great to work with. Only issues I ever had with the system was having to occasionally replace cv boots when they would get torn.
