Looking at buying a Magnum 325...??
I've run across a 2001 Magnum 325 4x4, and the guy wants $1800 for it. I haven't tested it yet, but I looked it over and it seems to be in very good condition. My son-in-law is looking to buy an atv but can't afford a whole lot. I'm trying to steer him towards the best brand Does $1800 sound like a fair price to you all?
Also, I noticed that the manufacture date was May, 2000. I assumed that it was a 2000 model, but the guy told me it was a 2001. Does that sound right?

I just sold my 2002 Magnum for $2,300 two weeks ago, so it's a good deal.
THe 325 is a decent quad, great suspension, and will climb like a cat, but you won't outrun anyone going up a slight incline. The engine is underpowered for the weight.
The most I ever got out of it was 40 on the flat (long wind up) and friends on manual Suzuki Ozark 250's would easily pull away from me on dirt roads wrapping up around a hill side. The speed would drop down to 12-15mph. However on rocky technical climbs I'd pass them all because of the fantastic suspension.
I was going to do a big bore kit, but opted for a new 500 instead - huge improvement.
