Default 1997 500 Scrambler CAM

If i replace the cam for the 97 500 Scrambler what is a good replacement? stock or is there an performance cam I can get? What all is needs to be change when I change the cam. I have a service manual on its way just haven't got it yet.

any one seen any video on youtube or else where showing changing the cam in a Scrambler? Or any cam change out to show how to shim them?

Put the stock cam out of a 500 HO in there, also make sure you put new cam followers in.

they took the cam and carb from the scrambler and put it into the sportsman so it is the same thing, there are a bunch of cams out there, hot seat performance, aaen, hot cams, web cams, hpd, all depends on what u want out of it
