Protective gear
#21
Man, R, I'm glad you didn't get hurt worse than you did. Sounds like a pretty nasty rollover. I meet an older guy named Bob every so often on the trails up in NH. The first time I met him he had a camo. Sportsman 800. The next time I saw him he had a Grizzly 700 with the power steering. We asked him what happened to the PoPo and he said he went down to Hatfield/McCoy and was on a steep stairstep hill when the front end rolled straight backwards. He bailed out and the quad did end over end flips down a couple hundred yards of hills. He had insurance and it paid for a new quad. He still drives like a wild man but has leg armor, chest protector, and helmet at all times now. R, you could buy a 2-up machine and tackle the steeps alot easier.

I wear helmet, gloves, goggles, boots and chest protector....... MX gear is optional...but FWIW I notice some people complaining about the colors of gear but they do make more subtle stuff.... Mostly every maker has something so you don't look like a 16 year old MX superstar...lol.....
But my chest protector has saved me pain a few times..... Once it was something as simple as slipping off the grip and hitting my chest on the brake reservoir. It would have hurt like heck without my chest protector on, but I hardly felt it.....
I always say wear as much as you can still ride comfortably in.....
