mine just happened this weekend. weve had 3 atvs, then got a new 07 honda 400ex for a 4th so the whole family can go ridn. so we start loadn up the atvs saturday morning and i notice the rear wheels are way off camber on the polaris hawkeye. turns out the brackets cracked and broke that hold the rear lower a-arm to the subframe... dont know what to do now...

Today...
I was using my ATV at the archery club to do some grounds keeping. Just works so much better than the tractor for most duties. Another guy came out and was mowing grass for about 2 hours, and being the nice guy I am, I decided to take him a drink as he was at the far end of the range. I jumped off the wheeler to get a water out out of the truck and may have broke my ankle. I think it is a bad sprain and am refusing to go to the ER, but it still hurts. Hurts my pride more that I injured myself getting off a parked quad....
Oh and the brake light problem that I thought was fixed, isn't. Now the brake lights stay on all the time. The local dealer did the work last time, and will never get another chance at my machine again. I'm going to one an hour away, just because I hear they are great to do business with.

hd: What was the solution with your back? Must have had surgery of some kind....sounds nasty. Gotta get back to the gym myself. I think strength is critical for active folks.

Man...that's insane. Why is it always the "wife". Don't mean to be mean, but have you ever noticed how many minivans are mangled in one form or another.....caved in fenders, crushed bumpers, etc.

If you have insurance, go to the regular doc. It's worth a visit. I did the same exact thing a couple of years ago. It was sprained really bad....I couldn't walk for a month. Doc said it would have been better off being broken. I don't do any outside work now without work boots fully laced. Not worth the risk of another sprain like that. Hurt beyond belief for weeks. I literally could not walk without limping around....sucked.

My worst day riding was the one and only time I ever flipped my Hawk, Was riding in the national forest like an idiot...tried to take a hairpin corner at about 40+ mph. I hit, and ripped out a tree stump which threw me between the trees. I wasn't hurt eccept for all the pine needles sticking in me. I ended up with a small crack in my fender. I got very lucky because I ride alone, and didn't have my cell phone with me and it was a 30 ride back to my inlaws property. I would have been screwed if I had gotten hurt or the bike had been damaged beyong riding.

My worst ride wasn't much of a ride, I was you know pulling wheelies with my 800sp down the road showing off in front of my friends and of cource my fiance. I decided to stand on the seat so I could get the bike to balance better so I could go farther with it on 2 wheels, no helmet on my mellon and sorry a few bottles of liquid courage aded I did quite well, so I did it again and again until the bike started to flip over, so I tapped the handle bar brake lever to set it back down Well we all know that on the polaris the handle brake activates the rear brakes and also the front, the quad came down alright and of cource with me aswell smashing my face off the handle bars. Broke 2 teeth in half and lost 2 completly, total of 4 chompers. OUCH! And to add a little more pazazz to the story I had just proposed to her about 30min before this Yup I'm a looser.
