Your worst ATV day ever?

On my way to meet the guys for a saturday ride, I had to climb a hill I'd climbed a hundred times...a few good sized boulders, kind of a technical climb but needed a little speed to do it. No problem. I was feeling a little hung over from the night before though!
I was just about to the top, had to make a slight left to get around a large rock, front right tire hit the rock square and threw me. With every painful tumble on the way down I would catch a glimpse of my Kodiak right behind me rolling end over end! When I came to a stop and looked up the old kodiak was about 5-6' in the air and coming down, I couldn't move...I was hurting! The machine made one last tumble and landed on top of me upside down, still running. The split second before it came down I thought I was a dead man! I rolled it off me and layed there for a good twenty minutes, machine continued to run, I couldn't believe it. When I finally got the energy to get up...ohhh did I getting up HURT, I shut the machine down and layed right back down. Not sure how long I was there but I ended up getting up, getting on the machine and making it home. Folks brought to the E room, 2 broken ribs, large lump on my head, concusion and every other part of my body bruised and beaten to a pulp. I didn't get out of bed for 2 weeks! When I finally checked on my machine, the rear rack was a little bent and the handelbars were forced down some, that's it!! It was fine! I was amazed.

That is (was) my '05 sp 700 on the left. many fluid changes and a new starter & she's still running - although not mine anymore. The Honda Rancher 350 on the right is still in my buddy's garage. As for hypothermia, it took a good half hour before the cold set in. We were both dressed in many layers as it was about 30 degrees F when we left the house. The layers acted like a wetsuit & it took that long for the cold to work its way through.
This pic was taken about 5 hours after we went in. It was completely covered by a thin sheet of ice that morning.

HELL NO!!! Actually, I traded that quad straigh up for a '95 BMW 325i custom modified convertible - wide body kit, 19" wheels, Lambo style butterfly doors, lots of carbon fiber, kick-*** stereo etc. I spent about a grand on all new suspension & then sold that car to my son-in-law. He is in heaven. I've since purchased an '06 BMW Z4 ///M roadster. What a car! I still can't tell you which I love more - JackieM (the BWM Z4 ///M), my Harley, or my Popo 850.
