Default Another one bites the dust!

Well, another 2500lb Polaris winch down. I got stuck in some pretty thick mud and couldn't get out. Hooked the winch up to a friends bike, and it pulled me out just fine. Though I may have a good one.

There was still about 15 foot of cable out, so I started to reel it in with tension from the friend. With about 8 foot left, it just stopped. I get a click when I hit the button, but the winch does nothing. I check all the connections, and everything is tight.

I was able to free wheel a bunch more cable out, thinking it was just jammed, but then I couldn't get it back in. Now I have about 20 foot of cabl bungied e to the front of the bike, waiting for the shop I bought it from to open tomorrow. I just got the bike in December, so I should be under warranty, but I'm going to ask if they will upgrade it to a 3500 lb warn for the difference in fees.
