Can't say that I had any problems with mine this time of year, but in the Winter it got more difficult. Put some armoral on the receptacles...in the winter it is very hard to get the seat back on when the temps dip below zero with the rubber hardended, this also keeps it from drying out and petrifying, also makes it easier to remove.

I also had to step back and scratch my head a little the first time I tried to get the seat off. my biggest concern is how long till those studs wear out and the seat becomes loose and my seat blows off when I am trailering it down the highway

I have a similar thing with the X2. Over time the rubber grommet can wear down and loosen. If this happens you can put self adhesive velcro strips on top of the air intake and on the bottom of the seat where it is just above the air intake. Not sure if this will work on the XP or not but thought I'd throw it in if it is the same.

My seat has been off ALOT of times and no hint of it loosening it's grip... I probably have pulled mine 5 times as often as the average person..I like to clean and tinker lol.

I have had mine off ALOT as well and it still seems just as tight as ever. I have to admit though, that first time I was a little concerned and had to look at the manual.
