my rope will come out fine but with the rock guard on the rope it gets hung up in there.. take off the guard and no problem, but then there is nothing to protect it from rocks or a sharp edge..

i guess.. i've know of it as a rock guard.. but yes it is a small sleeve that goes over the rope to protect it from getting cut..

yea i would def. get the hauwse mount like in the pic i posted.. then you dont have to worry about what angle you are at... my rope is suppose to be 7700# test and it has held up to sum stuff.. i actually wish that sleeve was longer because i can tell there are some frays already... small trees dont always work for me.. i tend to bend them rite over.... lol

check this out.. these are the ones i found on ebay...

nice, but i have a sling that i put around the tree that has always worked good for me.. so i guess what i'm asking is how often do you use our sleeve to go over something sharp..

i use mine everything i wrap it around somthing... like i said i acutally wish it was longer...

i have only used it in mudding situations so its always either straight or heavy angle to pull myself out with no obsticals in the way.. but i use it everytime i go around a tree.. if you have somthing to go around it then i guess you could take it off.. thats all i use it for

Default Syn

Clamp the end of the sleeve to the outer part of the cable just before the eye for your hook with a hose clamp. Should keep it from sliding and getting bound up.
